ZoneOneRadio’s Community profile talks to people who make a difference in the London Community.
Last week the team headed down to Purley, to the Laleham Lea primary school, where Creative Circles have their office.
Creative Circles provide arts programmes to enable children and young people, particularly those with special educatory needs, to express themselves creatively, helping them to build self-esteem and a sense of social belonging using art and art therapy.
We spoke to the organisation's founder Hale Owen - who started the company after her second child was diagnosed with a learning disability - as well as Creative Circles volunteers Helen Simpson, Jonathan Weller and Cheryl Funnell.
Music this week from Abba, Whitney Houston and Sister Sledge amongst others!
